Overview
Kevin Oates Consulting and Education is a specialized firm, dedicated exclusively to insurance education and analytical services. Our focus is to deliver educational seminars covering all facets of the Property/Casualty, Life and Reinsurance industries, providing competitive advancement training for professionals of all levels. The firm's services are designed for use by commercial and investment banks; insurance companies, regulators, brokers and agents; investment management companies; federal authorities; attorneys and accountants; and others dealing with the insurance industry.
Our Insurance Training Series is designed as a logical process for both Property/Casualty and Life Insurance. P/C Statutory accounting & Financial Reporting, a dissection of the Annual Statutory Statement and an introduction to the basics of insurance accounting, is our introductory or beginner course. Operational Financial Analysis, our intermediate course is designed to provide participants with a thorough background in insurance industry operations and to improve their ability to understand and use insurance accounting practices and statutory data. Presentations impart the interpretive and analytical skills needed to evaluate individual insurance companies on an absolute as well as a comparative basis.
The reinsurance program includes Reinsurance, Reinsurance Accounting, and Reinsurance Auditing.
Classes are structured in an informal workshop format and are limited in enrollment to encourage interaction among participants and instructors. This commitment to classroom-style teaching creates an invigorating effective personal learning experience.
